Opening night at Tannery Row—Gwinnett Parks Plein Air Competition

I was very excited to attend the opening of the Gwinnett Parks Plein Air Competition Show on Saturday night.  After six months of painting in parks around the county it was a chance to finally see everyone’s work and enjoy their company. I was very fortunate to have one of my paintings selected for the traveling exhibit. Only ten were chosen out of over 30 entries and the quality was outstanding. Junko Ono Rothwell won first prize, Jill Schultz McGannon won second prize and Judith Surowiec third.  They intend to do it all over again next year and I’m looking forward to participating.
